Kathleen Jane Marshall practices family law and criminal defense. Prior to joining Tario & Associates, P.S., Ms. Marshall was a prosecutor, a public defender, and a support enforcement officer, and also worked in private practice. She has practiced law in Pierce, King, Klickitat, Skamania and San Juan Counties prior to relocating to Bellingham. Her true love is family law, which is her primary focus at Tario & Associates.

Ms. Marshall was born in California, started school at a Volkschule in Germany, graduated from high school in Holland, earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Texas A&M, her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies at the University of Washington - Bothell, and her juris doctor at Seattle University School of Law. She was awarded a Trustee’s scholarship at Seattle University, as well as CALI Awards in Pre-Trial Advocacy and Advanced Legal Writing.

Ms. Marshall is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the United States District Courts for Eastern and Western Washington, the Federal Ninth Circuit, the Whatcom Bar Association, and the San Juan County Bar Association.
